This is an incredibly rare piece of Navajo silversmith artisan made, custom jewelry that's even more STUNNING in person! Family provenance dates this to the early 1940's, when our Great Aunt, (a Navajo jewelry lover & collector), had this commissioned. The "liquid silver" beads pull these beautiful turquoise stones together & show them off in a simple classic design. There are 3 Sterling beads to every stone, for a total of 87 beads & 26 assorted turquoise gemstones. The cross is solid sterling & weighs .66 oz alone, (total weight shown in photo). The German clasp was added as a fix in the 1960's & is very sturdy. I've left this in it's original, unpolished state, (I'll leave that decision to you), it would be even more stunning if cleaned up, but the patina is really pretty already! Measures aprox 12.5" in length (on each side), the cross is aprox 2" L & 1.5" W. Please see all photos as they are part of the item's description & ask any questions.
